Sunset haiku
For the month of February, I am challenging myself to write a daily haiku about sunsets (sometimes metaphorically). I’m looking through my favourite photographs I’ve taken of sunsets, and doing my best to create a 5-7-5 haiku to go with. Nearly halfway through, I’m determined to finish out the month with a SUNSET HAIKU every day. I’ve been posting them on NOTES, which you can check out here: My Notes
I’m just sayin’, it would be fun to get some feedback on your favourite or if any of them hit. I’d also love to read your own version of a sunset haiku.
I’m posting the ones that have got the most likes so far here:
Crimson ball explodes
At the bottom of my dreams
Leaves me in the dark
I lost sight of you
In a flood of memories
As the sun went down
Rocks absorb the light
The way my heart hears your love
Night won’t extinguish
As the sun went down
I opened my heart for you
And you slipped away
Having oft crossed seas
Sailing fair and rough, I still
Delight in sundowns
*******
Thank you for reading. Hope you enjoyed all or some of them. Would love any and all feedback.
All my posts are free, but a contribution (either through a paid subscription or buying me a cup of coffee) will keep me photographing sunsets and writing poems about them.

Fab idea & loving the sunset photos 🌅
It's hard to pick a favorite but I think i settled on the one starting "Rocks absorb the light"
Thats a cool amd difficult challenge, keep up the good work.
